Our campsite is ideally placed to enjoy the ancient walled City of York, the Howardian Hills an AONB and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Whilst the coastal towns of Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington are all under an hours drive away.

Take time to visit Castle Howard, home to Brideshead Revisited and more recently Young Victoria and Bridgerton; their Christmas experience is rated one of the best in the country! Explore Malton, the foodie capital of North Yorkshire which boasts a plethora of independent tea rooms, restaurants and delis or take a drive to the pretty town of Helmsley and spend time at the National Bird of Prey Centre. York’s historic centre is just 7 miles away and is home to some of the UK’s leading visitor attractions including the National Railway Museum, Jorivk, Yorks Choclate Story, Cliffords Tower, York Dungeons, the iconic York Minster and York Castle Museum. For families take time to enjoy a day at Flamingo Land theme park, Pigletts Adventure Farm and Skelf Island at Castle Howard.

There are many National Trust and English Heritage properties close by, a choice of golf courses, York racecourse and miles of walking and cycling opportunities.
